Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Director General of Police (DGP) Nalin Prabhat, a 1992 batch IPS officer of Andhra Pradesh cadre, has ordered a major reshuffle in the police department, transferring and posting 13 Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP)-ranked officers across various divisions and units.
Key Transfers and Postings
As per the official order, Sanjeev Kumar, who was awaiting posting, has been appointed as DySP 2nd Battalion, while Qazi Shams-ul-Muzaffar, previously serving as DySP Security Kashmir University, has been transferred to DySP CID CIK (JIC).
Reyaz Ahmad, another officer awaiting posting, will now serve as DySP 10 Battalion IR. Priyanka Kumari, previously DySP SOG Jammu, has been shifted to a technical role as DySP Tech CID HQ.
Fresh Appointments for Awaiting Officers
- Mohammad Shafiq, awaiting posting, is now DySP SIA Kashmir.
- Davinder Singh is appointed DySP Security Jammu.
- Sandeep Mahajan has been posted as SDPO Railways Sangaldan.
- Munish Kumar takes over as DySP 1st Battalion IR (Incharge SMVD Bhawan).
Strategic Postings for Existing Officers
- Anjana, DySP Security Jammu, has been transferred to DySP Welfare PHQ.
- Shakeel Ahmed, SDPO Railways Sangaldan, will now serve as DySP TMG CID HQ.
- Khurshid-Ur-Rehman, CIO District Srinagar, moves to DySP 10th Battalion IR.
- Satyakam Sharma, previously DySP Ist Battalion IR (Incharge SMVD Bhawan), is now DySP Central Stores Jammu.
- Tahir Yousuf, earlier with DySP 6th Battalion JKAP, has been posted as DySP CID SB Poonch.
