JAMMU: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has re-designated four IAS officers following their recent promotions to senior administrative grades. The promotions were granted by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), Government of India, and the subsequent re-designations have been notified by the Union Territory administration.
J&K IAS Officers Reshuffle: Order Issued by General Administration Department
According to an official order issued by the General Administration Department (GAD), the re-designation of these officers has been carried out in line with their elevation to higher administrative ranks.
The move aims to align their responsibilities with their newly attained seniority and administrative status.
Sanjeev Verma Appointed Principal Secretary, Election Department
Sanjeev Verma, a 2001-batch IAS officer of the AGMUT cadre, has been re-designated as Principal Secretary to the Government Election Department. His elevation reflects his promotion to a senior administrative grade approved by the Ministry of Home Affairs.
Prasanna Ramaswamy G Becomes Commissioner Secretary, Tribal Affairs
Prasanna Ramaswamy G, a 2010-batch IAS officer of the AGMUT cadre, has been designated as Commissioner Secretary to the Government, Tribal Affairs Department. The re-designation comes following his promotion and entrusts him with key responsibilities related to tribal welfare and development in the Union Territory.
Ram Niwas Sharma Assigned School Education Portfolio
Another 2010-batch AGMUT cadre IAS officer, Ram Niwas Sharma, has been re-designated as Commissioner Secretary to the Government, School Education Department. His new role places him at the helm of policy formulation and administrative oversight of the school education sector in Jammu and Kashmir.
Avny Lavasa Appointed Secretary, Transport Department
Avny Lavasa, a 2013-batch IAS officer of the AGMUT cadre, has been re-designated as Secretary to the Government, Transport Department. The appointment follows his promotion and assigns him responsibility for overseeing transport-related administration and policy matters.
Administrative Restructuring After Promotions
The re-designation of these officers is part of the routine administrative restructuring undertaken after promotions to ensure effective governance and optimal utilization of senior officers in key departments of the Union Territory administration.
