Jamshedpur: The Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee (JNAC) is set to roll out three major projects worth approximately ₹3 crore aimed at strengthening the city’s infrastructure and enhancing its overall aesthetics. These initiatives, under the 15th Finance Commission, focus on improving parking facilities, modernizing drainage cleaning systems, and safeguarding plantation areas across the city.
Advanced Solid Waste Screening Machines for Major Drains
To prevent waste accumulation and improve the city’s drainage system, JNAC will install “Solid Waste Material Screening” machines in key drains. The project, with a budget of ₹99.76 lakh, will help maintain cleaner water flow in large drains and facilitate the easy removal of solid waste. These machines are expected to significantly enhance sanitation and reduce blockages during monsoon seasons.
Fencing to Protect Plantation Areas
JNAC has also planned fencing work in areas like Bagunhatu and Neem Bhatta to protect newly planted trees and greenery. The project, costing ₹91.51 lakh, includes a three-year maintenance plan, ensuring long-term care and upkeep of these plantations. This initiative is expected to improve the city’s green cover and contribute to Jamshedpur’s beautification.
Improved Parking and Traffic Management in Sakchi
To address traffic congestion in the Sakchi area, JNAC will develop a dedicated parking facility using paver blocks, with a budget of ₹1.01 crore. This project aims to streamline vehicle movement, reduce road jams, and enhance accessibility in one of Jamshedpur’s busiest commercial hubs. The development is expected to be completed within four months.
Enhancing Jamshedpur’s Infrastructure and Urban Aesthetics
With these three projects, JNAC demonstrates a strong commitment to modernizing city infrastructure, improving sanitation, and promoting urban beautification. By integrating advanced technology and long-term maintenance plans, these initiatives are expected to benefit residents, commuters, and the environment alike.
