Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers Ltd. (GRSE), one of India’s leading defence shipyards under the Ministry of Defence, has announced the appointment of Kamleshbhai Shashikantbhai Mirani as a Part-Time Non-Official Director (Independent Director) on the Board of the company.
The appointment, approved by the President of India, will be for a tenure of three years, and will come into effect from the date of allotment of his Director Identification Number (DIN). The decision was communicated through a formal exchange filing made by GRSE.
Mr Mirani’s induction into the Board is part of GRSE’s broader effort to strengthen its governance framework and bring in diverse expertise to guide the company’s strategic direction. With a rich background in public affairs and administration, his presence is expected to add value to GRSE’s leadership at a time when the shipyard continues to play a critical role in bolstering India’s maritime and defence capabilities.
