The government of Karnataka has mandated seven IPS officers to take on new responsibilities.
The concerned IPS officers are:
- Mr. Shantanu Sinha (2009 batch) has become DIGP, Criminal Investigation Department, while Ms. G. Sangeetha (2014 batch) took over as SP, Criminal Investigation Department;
- Mr. Laxman Nimbargi (2014 batch) is now SP of Vijaypura;
- Mr. Chennabasavanna Langoti (2013 batch) became Director of the Karnataka Police Academy in Mysuru;
- Mr. Abdul Ahad (2012 batch) became Director of the Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (Security and Vigilance) in Bengaluru;
- Mr. Pruthvik Shankar (2018 batch) became SP, Yadgiri;
- Mr. Shivanshu Rajput (2019 batch) became SP of the State Crime Record Bureau, Bengaluru.
