Mr. Kaushal Vijaykumar Sampat has been appointed as the General Manager of the International Banking Unit (IBU) at GIFT IFSC, Gujarat, marking a strategic move to strengthen global banking operations at India’s premier international financial hub.
An alumnus of H.L. College of Commerce, Mr. Sampat holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce and an MBA in Finance from Gujarat University. With a distinguished career in banking and financial services, he brings a wealth of experience in developing and managing corporate and wholesale banking portfolios, as well as in establishing and scaling international banking operations.
Before his current role at the Bank of Maharashtra, Mr. Sampat served in key positions across several prominent institutions, including India International Depository IFSC Limited, IndusInd Bank, Standard Chartered Bank, ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, and ING Vysya Bank. His leadership has been instrumental in aligning business metrics with organizational objectives and building robust financial infrastructures.
Mr. Sampat’s appointment is expected to bolster the International Banking Unit’s growth trajectory and contribute to enhancing India’s position in the global financial landscape through GIFT City.
