Key officers in the Uttarakhand Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) have been assigned new responsibilities as per an official order. This reshuffle affects officers at the Principal Secretary, Secretary, and Additional Secretary levels.
Principal Secretary RK Sudhanshu (IAS:1997:UK) will now oversee departments including Finance, Personnel, Home, Public Works, Industrial Development, Housing, and Transport. He has also been tasked with handling matters related to the judiciary and interstate affairs.
Secretary Shailesh Bagoli (IAS:2002:UK) has been given charge of departments such as Energy, Agriculture, School Education, Tourism, Irrigation, Forest, and Sports. He will also handle files related to the Council of Ministers, Raj Bhawan, and the Chief Minister’s Assembly constituency in Champawat.
Secretary Vinay Shankar Pandey (IAS:2007:UK) will manage areas like Excise and Mining, Government Estates, Disaster Management, Urban Development, Women Empowerment and Child Development, Revenue, Labour, Drinking Water, and Secretariat Administration. Additionally, he will coordinate with MLAs, MPs, district officials, and matters concerning the Chief Minister’s Discretionary Fund.
Secretary SN Pandey (IAS:2007:UK) has been assigned departments such as Health, Animal Husbandry, Panchayati Raj, Rural Development, and Co-operation. He will also handle appointment requests for commissions and provide updates on the Chief Minister’s meetings.
Additional Secretary Jagdish Chandra Kandpal will now oversee Social Welfare, Horticulture, Culture, Religious Endowments, and Silk departments. Kandpal will also manage the Chief Minister’s travel arrangements and protocol outside the capital.
To ensure continuity, Principal Secretary Sudhanshu and Secretary Bagoli will act as link officers for each other, while Secretaries Vinay Shankar Pandey and SN Pandey will do the same.
