New Delhi: In a significant step toward bolstering India’s transport infrastructure capabilities, Konkan Railway Corporation Ltd (KRCL) and Hindustan Construction Company Ltd (HCC) have entered into a strategic agreement to jointly undertake large-scale railway and multi-modal transport infrastructure projects, both in India and overseas.
This Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) establishes a framework for long-term collaboration, combining the strengths of both organizations to deliver integrated, end-to-end transport solutions across the infrastructure spectrum.
Scope of Collaboration: Full-Spectrum Transport Solutions
The collaboration between KRCL and HCC will encompass a broad range of infrastructure verticals, including:
- Railway and metro civil works
- Track laying
- Signalling and electrification
- MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) systems
- Operations and maintenance

Advanced transport systems and engineering solutions
The joint venture aims to tackle complex and large-scale infrastructure projects, including underground and elevated metro systems, NATM (New Austrian Tunneling Method) tunnels, railway bridges, and large-scale EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) contracts.
