In a coordinated and swift response, Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) has taken full operational control of Well RDS#147 in the Rudrasagar Field, as of 16:00 hrs today. The operation is being led by the Director (Technical & Field Services) and marks a critical phase in ONGC’s ongoing efforts to manage the well situation safely and efficiently.
Well Control Plan in Action; Pumping Operations Initiated
All essential fluids and equipment have been successfully mobilised to the site. Following a thorough evaluation and testing process, key connections have been installed and verified, enabling the commencement of pumping operations as part of a comprehensive well control plan.
The rapid deployment of resources and execution of pre-planned protocols reflect ONGC’s preparedness and technical strength in managing complex field operations.
Community Safety Prioritised: ONGC and District Authorities Engage with Evacuated Residents
In parallel with the technical operation, ONGC is actively coordinating with the Assam Asset team and local district administration to address the needs of residents who were evacuated as a precautionary measure.
