New Delhi: In a key leadership move, Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) has appointed Prakash Singh as the new Executive Director (Electrical), effective 25 July 2025. His appointment positions him as part of the PSU’s senior management team.
Two-Year Probation for New Appointee
Mr. Singh’s induction into RVNL’s leadership comes with a probationary period of two years. His continuation in the role beyond this term will depend on a formal evaluation of his performance during this initial phase.

Brings Prior Experience from NCRTC
Before joining RVNL, Prakash Singh served as Chief Engineer/General on deputation in the National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC). His engineering expertise and leadership background are expected to bolster RVNL’s electrical operations and strategic rail projects.
With RVNL expanding its footprint in domestic and international markets, the leadership of an experienced hand like Singh is expected to play a vital role in steering upcoming electrification and modernization initiatives.
