Noida, Uttar Pradesh: Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has appointed Sanjay Guha as the new Head of its Project Management Group (PMG) under Power Sector–Business Group-I (PS-BG-I), Noida. He takes over from Sibaprasad Gangopadhyay, who retired on June 24, 2025.
Brings Over 14 Years of Experience to the Role
Sanjay Guha, currently serving as General Manager & Head (PMG), PSBG-I, will now assume leadership of the entire PMG division in Noida. In his new capacity, he will report directly to the Director (Power), BHEL.
An Electrical Engineering graduate, Mr. Guha joined BHEL on 5 April 2011 and brings with him more than 14 years of hands-on experience in project management and power sector operations.
His elevation comes at a crucial juncture as BHEL continues to expand its presence in large-scale power projects and infrastructure initiatives across India.
Leadership Transition in PS-BG-I
The leadership transition follows the retirement of Sibaprasad Gangopadhyay, who previously held the position of Executive Director (PMG), PS-BG-I. He superannuated on June 24, 2025, after a distinguished tenure with BHEL.
The company acknowledged Mr. Gangopadhyay’s valuable contributions in steering critical projects and ensuring timely execution across various thermal and renewable power portfolios.
