Indore: In a significant push towards building the “Cities of Tomorrow,” Madhya Pradesh is hosting the ‘Growth Conclave 2025’ in Indore today, bringing together over 1,500 investors, industrialists, and corporate leaders from across India. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav will lead the event, which aims to showcase Madhya Pradesh’s urban development vision and attract large-scale investment in real estate, infrastructure, and smart city solutions.
The one-day event is being held at the Brilliant Convention Center in Indore, focusing on the blueprint for future urban development in the state and offering a platform for collaboration between the government and industry stakeholders.
CM Dr Yadav to Unveil Key Initiatives and Meet Investors
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav will begin his visit by touring the exhibition pavilions of key organizations including CREDAI, Smart City Mission, Municipal Corporation, IDA, Metro Rail, Housing Board, HUDCO, and LIC. He will later interact with major investors from the hotel, tourism, infrastructure, and real estate sectors and will present investment certificates during the event.
Key highlights include the unveiling of “MP Locker”, release of the ET Urban Transformation Summit 2025 brochure, MoU signings, and launch of “Saugat”, a new urban initiative. A short film showcasing investment potential in Madhya Pradesh’s urban sector will also be screened.
Technical Sessions on Smart Urbanization and Sustainability
The conclave will feature four technical sessions with participation from domain experts and industry leaders. Topics will include:
- Modern technology for urban excellence
- Cities as centers of development
- Sustainable green urbanization
- Traffic systems of future cities
These sessions are designed to exchange innovative ideas and best practices for building future-ready, smart, and sustainable cities in Madhya Pradesh.
Massive Investment Potential in Urban Infrastructure
The Madhya Pradesh government is presenting a robust investment pipeline in areas such as:
- Metro rail networks and e-buses
- Multimodal hubs and smart roads
- Affordable housing and waterfront development
- Sewage infrastructure, e-governance, and clean energy
- Electric vehicle ecosystems
The state has already constructed over 8.32 lakh affordable homes, with work underway on 10 lakh more units, potentially attracting ₹50,000 crore in investments. Additionally, projects worth ₹21,000 crore are currently being implemented to improve urban transport systems, while ₹2,800 crore is being spent on clean environment projects, and ₹2,000 crore on waterfront developments.
Digital Governance and EV Push
Urban local bodies in Madhya Pradesh now offer 23 digital services on a centralized platform, enabling faster approvals and transparency. The Electric Vehicle Policy-2025 is already in force, promoting EV adoption with 552 electric buses being introduced in major cities to combat pollution and reduce carbon emissions.
