He noted that along with the sacred darshan of the Ganga and Lord Vishwanath, the pilgrims will also visit the birthplaces of revered saints Sant Ravidas and Kabir Das.

“We are all proud of the grace bestowed upon the sacred city of Ayodhya by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. It is indeed a moment of pride for the nation,” he added.

Train Flagged Off Virtually from Chief Minister’s Residence

Under the Chief Minister’s Tirth Darshan Yojana, the pilgrimage train was flagged off virtually by Dr. Yadav from his official residence. The event was attended by pilgrims from Ujjain and Agar Malwa, with many gathered at the Ujjain Railway Station for the auspicious departure.

Expansion Plans for Tirth Darshan Yojana

Highlighting the success of the scheme, Dr. Yadav stated that the Tirth Darshan Yojana, launched in 2018, has brought spiritual fulfillment to thousands of senior citizens across the state.

The annual budget for the scheme has crossed Rs. 50 crore, and it also includes provisions for air travel. The initiative will now be expanded with support from the Tourism Department.

“Our government, under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Shri Modi, is progressing from heritage to development. We remain committed to the welfare of all sections of society, especially senior citizens,” he said.

Chief Minister Commended for His Devotion to Senior Citizens

During the event, Dr. Yadav personally interacted with several pilgrims, including Mrs. Kalpana Sharma, Mr. Rajju Kishore, and Mr. Babulal Sharma.

Mrs. Kalpana Sharma expressed heartfelt gratitude and said, “Chief Minister Dr. Yadav has performed his duties like Shravan Kumar by arranging pilgrimage for the elderly.”

Dr. Yadav extended his best wishes to all the pilgrims, hoping for a safe, fulfilling, and spiritually enriching journey.
