In a significant step towards industrial transformation, Madhya Pradesh CM Dr. Mohan Yadav laid the foundation for a slew of development projects worth Rs. 2,000 crore in Badiyakhedi, Sehore. Addressing a massive gathering during the Bhoomi Pujan ceremony, Dr. Yadav credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Bharat First’ vision for India’s rapid industrialisation and growing global prominence.
Asia’s Largest Transformer Unit and Agri-Investments Announced
The key highlight of the announcements was the establishment of Asia’s largest transformer manufacturing unit by CG Power, to be built at a cost of Rs. 888 crore, generating 400 direct employment opportunities.
The CM also announced Rs. 400 crore investments in food processing and agriculture, including a malt manufacturing unit and a vegetable procurement system that is expected to directly benefit two lakh rural families.

Employment Incentives for Youth and Women
To ensure local employment and curb migration, Dr. Yadav announced monthly financial incentives for those working in new industries:
- Rs. 6,000 per month for women
- Rs. 5,000 per month for men
- These incentives will be provided for a period of 10 years to workers employed in newly established industries in the region.
CM Declares Sehore to Join Bhopal Metropolitan Region
Chief Minister Yadav reaffirmed the government’s commitment to inclusive development, declaring that Sehore will soon be integrated into the Bhopal Metropolitan Region, complete with world-class infrastructure. “Industries are the modern temples of development,” he said, adding that the government is working to ensure youth need not migrate in search of opportunities.
Upcoming State Agriculture Fair and Infrastructure Boost
Dr. Yadav also announced the State Agriculture Fair, to be held from October 12–14, showcasing Madhya Pradesh’s agricultural capabilities and attracting national-level participation.
He further highlighted several government initiatives including:
- The Parvati-Kali Sindh-Chambal Irrigation Project
- Air ambulance and hearse services for the underprivileged
- One model village per block scheme to promote rural development
Ministerial and Industrialist Endorsements
Revenue Minister Mr. Karan Verma praised the administration’s achievements, noting that 1.09 crore farmer disputes have been resolved and 42 lakh leases distributed.
Minister of State Ms. Krishna Gaur said the Global Investors Summit has established Madhya Pradesh as an attractive investment destination.
MLA Mr. Sudesh Rai stated that Sehore is set to become a benchmark for industrial growth in the state.
During the event, Letters of Intent (LoIs) were handed over to six major industries, including:
- Eco Concrete (Rs. 170 crore)
- Vanya Veda Greens (Rs. 115 crore)
- The event witnessed participation from over 400 industrialists, underscoring strong investor confidence in the region.
With this announcement, Sehore is poised to become a vital industrial and employment hub in Madhya Pradesh, aligning with the broader national goal of self-reliance under the ‘Bharat First’ vision.
