Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, during his visit to the under-construction Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Dham in Jaurasi, Gwalior on Saturday, paid heartfelt tribute to the architect of the Indian Constitution and social reformer Baba Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar. He stated that the actions and contributions of Dr. Ambedkar for the upliftment of society will always be remembered and cannot be forgotten.
Second Phase of Ambedkar Dham Development to Begin Soon
CM Dr. Yadav announced that the second phase of development works at Ambedkar Dham will commence shortly. A Bhoomi Pujan ceremony will be conducted in the presence of Union Minister Mr. Jyotiraditya Scindia, Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly Speaker Mr. Narendra Singh Tomar, and regional MP Mr. Bharat Singh Kushwaha, among other senior dignitaries.
A Monument of Social Justice
He emphasized that constructing this grand memorial in the name of Dr. Ambedkar is a noble initiative that reflects the joint commitment of the Centre and State governments to honour his contributions. Dr. Yadav highlighted that this dham not only commemorates the leader’s vision but also serves as a centre for learning and inspiration for future generations.
State-of-the-Art Facilities at Ambedkar Dham
The upcoming Ambedkar Dham is being designed with several modern facilities, including a digital library, museum, auditorium, conference halls, and more. The second phase of development will further enhance the site with additional infrastructure and public amenities to accommodate visitors and scholars.
Ongoing Legacy of Dr. Ambedkar
Dr. Yadav also noted that the state observes Ambedkar Jayanti with a sense of reverence and significance by organizing Ambedkar Kumbh at this location. He said the site is evolving into a centre for socio-cultural and educational empowerment, embodying Dr. Ambedkar’s ideals of equality, education, and justice.
Dignitaries Present at the Visit
Accompanying the Chief Minister during the visit were Agriculture Minister Mr. Edal Singh Kanshana, regional MP Mr. Bharat Singh Kushwaha, MLA Mr. Mohan Singh Rathore, and former Minister Ms. Imarti Devi, along with other public representatives, senior officials, and local residents.
During the visit, CM Dr. Yadav offered floral tributes at Babasaheb’s statue and reflected on the invaluable legacy of his work for social reform and empowerment. He reiterated the government’s unwavering commitment to upholding and promoting the values that Dr. Ambedkar stood for.
