Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav on Monday said that Madhya Pradesh has secured the top position in several sectors at the national level and the state government is determined to take this progress further. Addressing a media conclave in Bhopal, Dr. Yadav emphasized that the government is committed to providing employment opportunities for the youth through agriculture, animal husbandry, food processing, tourism, and the establishment of new industries.
Employment Through Industrial Growth
The Chief Minister highlighted that new industries are being set up in Madhya Pradesh almost every day, creating strong prospects for youth employment and boosting the state’s economy. He added that the ground-breaking ceremony of India’s first PM Mitra Park will soon be held in Dhar district. Ahead of this, a dedicated investor meeting will be organized in New Delhi on September 3 to attract investment in the textile mega park.
Tourism as a Growth Driver
Dr. Yadav informed that Madhya Pradesh is giving priority to forest and wildlife tourism, medical tourism, and religious tourism. Permanent infrastructure and management works are underway at 13 major pilgrimage centers. He shared that after the development of Shrimahakal Lok, Ujjain witnessed over 7 crore devotees in 2024 alone. Inspired by this success, the state government is preparing to launch helicopter-based tourism services connecting major tourist destinations.
Investment-Friendly State Policies
Positioning Madhya Pradesh as the “heart of India,” Dr. Yadav said the state is leveraging its abundant land bank, surplus electricity, and robust infrastructure to attract industries. To ease the process for investors, the government has reduced permissions, removed outdated regulations, and implemented 18 new industrial policies. These reforms are expected to draw significant investments, further strengthening the industrial base of the state.
Strong Law and Order as Foundation of Growth
The Chief Minister asserted that maintaining strong law and order remains the top priority of his government. He assured that there is no space for anti-social elements in Madhya Pradesh and strict action will be taken against anyone disrupting peace. He stressed that the government’s focus is not on populist promises but on implementing decisive actions in public interest.
