Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has announced a series of major projects and welfare measures aimed at promoting Swadeshi, strengthening the state’s economy, empowering farmers and youth, and fostering a spirit of patriotism. Speaking at Samatva Bhavan in the CM residence on 7 August, Dr. Yadav credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for enriching India’s farmers and advancing the Swadeshi movement.
BEML Rail Coach Manufacturing Unit in Raisen
For the first time, Madhya Pradesh will host a Bharat Earth Movers Limited (BEML) unit for the production of modern rail and metro coaches.
- Investment: Rs. 1,800 crore by BEML in Umaria village, Gauharganj tehsil, Raisen district.
- Employment: Around 1,600 direct jobs and numerous opportunities in ancillary industries.
- Bhoomi Pujan: Scheduled for 10 August, led by Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh. Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw will also participate (Vaishnaw virtually).
- Products: Vande Bharat coaches, modern rail coaches, and metro coaches for domestic use and exports.
- Land Allotment: 60.63 hectares allocated near Bhopal.
Dr. Yadav said this development will position Madhya Pradesh as a major hub for railway infrastructure in the coming years.
PM Mitra Park in Dhar
On 25 August, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will perform the Bhoomi Pujan for PM Mitra Park in Dhar district.
- Sector: Readymade garments.
- Investment: Rs. 2,000 crore.
- Employment: Over 1 lakh jobs, especially benefiting the tribal regions.
- Farmer Benefits: Cotton farmers in Dhar, Jhabua, Ratlam, and the Nimar region will get fair prices for their produce.
This project will strengthen Swadeshi manufacturing while boosting the state’s textile industry.
Industrial Growth Momentum
The CM highlighted that the Global Investors Summit in Bhopal had secured unprecedented investment commitments worth Rs. 30.77 lakh crore. This has created a strong industrialization environment, attracting both domestic and international investors to set up operations in Madhya Pradesh.
Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan 2025
In the run-up to Independence Day, the state will organize the Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan and Tiranga Yatras for the fourth consecutive year.
- Purpose: Instill patriotism, promote Swadeshi, and encourage cleanliness.
- Structure: To be held in three phases across the state.
- Activities:
- Sending rakhis to armed forces personnel for Operation Sindoor.
- Competitions, tricolor-themed music, and exhibitions in schools.
- Goal of distributing and hoisting 1 crore tricolors.
Women Empowerment: Raksha Bandhan Gift for Ladli Sisters
The CM reiterated the government’s commitment to women’s welfare through the Ladli Bahna Scheme.
- August Payment: Rs. 1,500 in total, with Rs. 250 as a Raksha Bandhan gift.
- Post-Diwali: Rs. 1,500 per month to be transferred to beneficiaries.
- Purpose: Allow women to purchase gifts for themselves and strengthen financial independence.
Upcoming State-Level Cultural and Religious Events
- Lord Balram Jayanti (14 August): State-level program in Mandla district to provide assistance to farmers and beneficiaries of government schemes.
- Shri Krishna Janmashtami (16 August): Celebrations across the state, with plans to develop Krishna-related sites as major pilgrimage destinations under the religious tourism campaign.
Independence Day Celebrations
This year, the state will follow a new action plan:
- The main Independence Day program in Bhopal will be broadcast live to every district.
- Ministers in charge will hoist the flag in district-level ceremonies and outline government welfare schemes in their speeches.
