Major Shake-up in Haryana Police: 49 HPS Officers Transferred, Kuldeep Kumar Made ACP, Gurugram

Chandigarh: In a significant move to strengthen policing and improve public trust, the Haryana government has transferred 49 Haryana Police Service (HPS) officers, including officers of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) and Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) ranks across various districts.

The transfer orders were issued by Home Secretary Dr Sumita Mishra following a high-level meeting of the Police Department, chaired recently by Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini.

Reason Behind the Reshuffle

The reshuffle is part of a targeted administrative action to-

  • Address rising complaints against police officers in specific districts.
  • Strengthen law enforcement where order had declined.
  • Fill long-pending vacancies in key areas.
