Indian Masterminds Stories

Mumbai: Mahanagar Gas Limited (MGL), one of India’s leading natural gas distribution companies, has launched its all-new brand campaign, “Mumbai Chalta Hai, MGL Par”, to spotlight its crucial role in fueling the spirit and infrastructure of Mumbai.

The campaign was unveiled at a special event in Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC) by Sandeep Gupta, Chairman of MGL, in the presence of Ashu Shinghal, Managing Director, Ajay Sinha, Deputy Managing Director, and other senior dignitaries.

Reinforcing MGL’s Emotional Connect with Mumbai

With over three decades of delivering safe, reliable, and eco-friendly energy solutions, MGL has become a silent but significant force that powers homes, vehicles, and industries across Mumbai and adjoining regions.

The new brand campaign aims to strengthen this bond by shifting the narrative from a utility provider to an integral part of Mumbai’s heartbeat, responding to evolving customer expectations around sustainability, convenience, and trust.

“Mumbai Chalta Hai, MGL Par”: A Tagline with Meaning

The campaign tagline, conceptualized by MX Advertising, is more than a catchy slogan — it encapsulates the omnipresent contribution of MGL in daily life. From cooking gas in kitchens to CNG in vehicles and energy in industrial setups, MGL is the invisible force that keeps Mumbai moving.

AI-Powered Creative Integration Across Platforms

In a nod to modern storytelling, MGL has leveraged Artificial Intelligence (AI) to craft and disseminate the campaign. This AI-led approach enhances content personalisation and emotional resonance across a diverse audience, while ensuring seamless integration across print, radio, outdoor, and digital platforms.

Leadership Speaks: Legacy, Vision, and Sustainability

Speaking at the event, Sandeep Gupta, Chairman, MGL, remarked:

Mumbai is a city that never stops, and at MGL we take pride in being one of the forces that keeps it going. This campaign reflects not just our legacy of reliability and trust, but also our vision for a sustainable and progressive future. ‘Mumbai Chalta Hai, MGL Par’ is more than a tagline; it is a celebration of MGL’s enduring bond with the people and pulse of Mumbai.

Mr Ashu Shinghal, MD of MGL, added:

“For over 30 years, MGL has been synonymous with safe and environment-friendly energy. Through this campaign, we aim to highlight our role as an enabler of everyday life in Mumbai — fueling homes, businesses, and mobility with efficiency and care. As we embrace new technologies and evolving customer expectations, MGL remains committed to being a trusted partner in the city’s growth story.”
