New Delhi: The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has appointed five Indian Police Service (IPS) officers to key positions in central police organisations including the Border Security Force (BSF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), and the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB).
According to official orders issued by the ministry, the appointments include one Inspector General and multiple Deputy Inspector General-level postings aimed at strengthening leadership in these organisations.
Rajpal Meena Appointed Inspector General in BSF
Among the appointments, IPS officer Rajpal Meena (IPS:2007:KL) has been posted as Inspector General in the Border Security Force.
The appointment places him in a senior leadership role within the BSF, which is responsible for guarding India’s borders and maintaining security along the international frontiers.

Two Officers Posted as DIG in BSF
The Ministry of Home Affairs has also appointed two IPS officers as Deputy Inspectors General in the Border Security Force.
The officers appointed are:
• Arun Mohan Joshi (IPS:2006:UK)
• Jai Yadav (IPS:2012:UK)
Both officers belong to the Uttarakhand cadre and will take up DIG-level responsibilities in the force.
Neeru Garg Posted as DIG in ITBP
In another appointment, IPS officer Neeru Garg (IPS:2005:UK) has been appointed as Deputy Inspector General in the Indo-Tibetan Border Police.
The ITBP is tasked with guarding India’s border with China and plays a critical role in maintaining security in high-altitude Himalayan regions.
Mukhtar Mohsin Appointed Deputy Director at NCRB
In a separate order, IPS officer Mukhtar Mohsin (IPS:2005:UK) has been appointed as Deputy Director at the National Crime Records Bureau.
The position is at the level of Deputy Inspector General and involves responsibilities related to crime data management, analysis, and national-level policing information systems.
Five Separate Orders Issued by MHA
The Ministry of Home Affairs issued five separate orders to formalise these appointments.
The postings are part of the central government’s efforts to strengthen leadership across central armed police forces and national policing institutions.
These organisations play a crucial role in internal security, border management, and national crime data systems, making senior-level appointments vital for effective administration and operational efficiency.

The newly appointed officers will assume important responsibilities within their respective organisations.
