The Ministry of Women and Child Development, along with all Autonomous Bodies under its administrative control, has commenced Special Campaign 4.0 aimed at enhancing cleanliness and addressing pending references. The campaign runs from October 2 to October 31, 2024, following the successful implementation of similar initiatives over the past three years.
The preparatory phase of the campaign has successfully identified various targets, including sites for cleanliness campaigns, space management and beautification of offices, as well as procedures for the disposal of scrap and redundant items according to General Financial Rules (GFR). Additionally, the ministry is addressing pending references from Members of Parliament, State Governments, inter-ministerial communications, and public grievances.
As of October 10, 2024, significant progress has been reported during the implementation phase. The ministry has managed to dispose of:

Union Minister for Women and Child Development conducted a visit to the Central Adoption Resource Authority (CARA) on October 4, where she participated in cleanliness activities and initiated a tree-planting drive, reinforcing the ministry’s commitment to environmental conservation and sustainable development.
Further inspections of ministry premises, including washrooms and storage areas, were conducted by senior officials on October 9, ensuring that cleanliness and management practices meet the campaign’s high standards.
