The central government has appointed Mr. Akash Tripathi, a 1998-batch IAS officer of the MP cadre, as Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Energy. Alongside, Mr. Faiz Ahmed Kidwai, another senior IAS officer of the MP cadre, has been assigned the role of Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Civil Aviation.
Mr. Akash Tripathi has previously served as Indore Collector and held various roles, including Deputy Secretary and Secretary in multiple departments. Since October 2022, he has been the CEO of MyGov under the Ministry of Electronics and Communication. The Madhya Pradesh government has also requested his return to the state, and he is expected to rejoin soon.
Meanwhile, Mr. Faiz Ahmed Kidwai, currently Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, will transition to his new role at the Centre.
Additionally, Ms. Ruhi Khan, a 2013-batch IAS officer presently serving as Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare in Delhi, has been granted permission to return to her parent cadre in Madhya Pradesh due to personal reasons. She is set to join her new assignment in Bhopal shortly.
These appointments and transfers were confirmed in a recent order by the Union Ministry of Personnel and Training.
