Hyderabad: In a significant step toward strengthening public service delivery in Telangana, a delegation from Mission Karmayogi, comprising officials from the Capacity Building Commission and Karmayogi Bharat, met with Governor Mr Jishnu Dev Varma on July 2, 2025, in Hyderabad.
Led by Dr. Alka Mittal (Member – Administration, CBC), Ms. Navneet Kaur (Director, CBC), and Ms. Soumi Banerjee (General Manager, Karmayogi Bharat), the team updated the Governor on the progress of Mission Karmayogi in the state and sought his insights on advancing the reform agenda.
The Governor extended his full support, emphasizing the importance of digital-first and competency-based learning to create a future-ready, citizen-centric bureaucracy.

Strategic Discussions with Chief Secretary and Department Heads
Prior to the meeting with the Governor, the Mission Karmayogi team held a detailed session with Chief Secretary Mr K. Ramakrishna Rao and senior department heads of the Government of Telangana.
The discussion focused on customizing training content and aligning it with departmental goals. A central highlight was the iGOT Karmayogi platform, which offers anytime-anywhere digital learning for officers across ministries and departments.
Officials from various departments expressed the need for tailored learning pathways, designed to address unique governance priorities and field-level challenges.
Key Decision: iGOT Onboarding Across Departments
A major outcome of the meeting was the decision to onboard civil servants from multiple departments onto the iGOT platform, marking a crucial step in institutionalizing continuous learning within the Telangana bureaucracy.
The state’s training institutions were also identified as pivotal partners in this capacity-building journey, playing a key role in facilitating large-scale adoption and localized training interventions.

Reinforcing Governance Through Learning
The Capacity Building Commission expressed deep appreciation for the cooperation extended by the Governor’s Secretariat, the Chief Secretary, and the broader Telangana administrative machinery.
The engagements reaffirm a shared national and state-level commitment to transforming governance through Mission Karmayogi’s core philosophy of continuous professional development, digital enablement, and citizen-focused service.
