In a special recognition of Madhya Pradesh’s best-ever performance in the Union Public Service Commission Civil Services Examination, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav will on Monday interact with and honor all 61 candidates from the state who have secured final selection in the latest UPSC results.
The felicitation programme, being organized by the state’s Higher Education Department, will take place at Kushabhau Thakre Auditorium, where the successful candidates will share their journeys of preparation, struggle, discipline, and achievement with the Chief Minister and invited students.
The event comes at a time when Madhya Pradesh has recorded its highest-ever UPSC selection tally, emerging as one of India’s strongest performing states in civil services recruitment.
Chief Minister to Personally Interact with UPSC Achievers
According to the programme schedule, Mohan Yadav will directly engage with the selected candidates during the event and listen to their individual success stories.
The interaction is designed not merely as a felicitation ceremony but also as an inspirational platform where candidates will explain:
- Their preparation methods
- Academic discipline
- Challenges faced during multiple stages of examination
- Time management strategies
- Interview experiences
Officials say the interaction aims to create a direct motivational bridge between successful candidates and future aspirants.
‘Safalta Ke Mantra’ Programme to Focus on Civil Services Guidance
The programme has been titled “Safalta Ke Mantra”, meaning “Mantras of Success.”
Under this initiative, selected UPSC candidates will speak about their preparation journeys so that students attending the event can understand practical pathways to success in highly competitive examinations.
The state government views this as an educational intervention to strengthen competitive examination culture across public institutions.
Booklet ‘Pratibhaon Ka Parcham’ to Be Released
During the event, Mohan Yadav will also release a booklet titled Pratibhaon Ka Parcham.
The booklet has been prepared by the Higher Education Department and documents the achievements of successful candidates from the state.
Its digital edition will also be launched simultaneously.
Officials say the publication has been designed to preserve and present inspiring stories of state achievers for future reference by students and educational institutions.
Senior Ministers and Officials to Attend
The event will also be attended by:
- Inder Singh Parmar
- Anupam Rajan
Senior education officials are expected to discuss how the state can further strengthen its civil services preparation ecosystem.
Madhya Pradesh’s Best-Ever UPSC Result
The felicitation follows a landmark UPSC outcome for Madhya Pradesh.
Out of 958 candidates selected nationally, 61 candidates belong to Madhya Pradesh, the highest number ever recorded by the state.
This marks a major jump compared to previous years:
- 2023: 29 selections
- 2024: 53 selections
- Current cycle: 61 selections
The number of selections has nearly doubled within three years.
Government Institutions Emerge Strongly
A major highlight this year is that 16 of the selected candidates are graduates of government colleges and universities.
This reflects a widening academic base for UPSC success in the state and signals stronger contribution from public higher education institutions.
The trend is being viewed as especially significant because civil services success has often been associated with private coaching hubs.
Two MP Candidates in National Top 10
Madhya Pradesh also delivered two top national performers this year.
- Ishan Bhatnagar secured All India Rank 5
- Prakshal Secretary secured All India Rank 8
This strong presence among top ranks has significantly enhanced the state’s national visibility.
Event to Inspire Final-Year Students
The state government has also invited final-year college students to attend the programme.
The intention is to create direct interaction between aspirants and selected candidates so that future examinees can hear firsthand accounts of:
- Daily study routines
- Resource selection
- Handling failure
- Writing mains answers
- Interview preparation
Officials believe this may encourage a stronger civil services culture across campuses.
Why the Programme Matters
The event signals that the government wants UPSC success to become a broader educational aspiration rather than isolated individual achievement.
It also reflects growing policy interest in turning Madhya Pradesh into a stronger competitive examination state.
