Nagpur: State-owned manganese mining company MOIL Limited has announced key changes in its senior management with the appointment of two seasoned officials as Executive Directors. The decision strengthens the company’s leadership at a crucial time in its expansion and modernization drive.

Senior Appointments to the Board

Kishor Chandrakar has been appointed as Executive Director (Technical). A graduate in Mining Engineering (B.E. Mining), he brings 36 years of extensive experience in mining operations and allied fields. His technical expertise is expected to guide MOIL’s mining initiatives and support the company’s strategic growth in mineral exploration and production.

Rajesh Verma has been appointed as Executive Director (Projects & Development). Holding a degree in Mechanical Engineering, he also has 36 years of diverse experience in mechanical systems, project execution, and developmental activities. His leadership is likely to play a pivotal role in driving MOIL’s project pipeline and infrastructure expansion.

Leadership Transition

The new appointments come as Prashant Karaiya, former Executive Director (Technical), superannuated from service on September 1, 2025. His tenure contributed significantly to MOIL’s technical advancements and mining efficiency. The transition ensures continuity in leadership while bringing fresh momentum to the company’s future plans.

Strengthening Strategic Growth

With Chandrakar and Verma joining the board, MOIL is reinforcing its commitment to operational excellence and project development. The appointments align with the PSU’s broader vision of enhancing its production capacity and sustaining its role as India’s leading manganese producer.

About MOIL

MOIL Limited, headquartered in Nagpur, is a Schedule “A” Miniratna Category-I PSU under the Ministry of Steel. It is India’s largest producer of manganese ore, contributing around 45% of the country’s total output. The company plays a critical role in supplying high-grade ore to the steel industry and continues to focus on expansion, value addition, and sustainable mining practices.
