Bhopal: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav extended warm greetings to the people of Madhya Pradesh on the occasion of the state’s 70th Foundation Day, emphasizing the state’s journey from “heritage to development” and its growing role in realizing the vision of a Viksit Bharat (Developed India).
In a blog post shared on social media, the Chief Minister reflected on the state’s progress since its formation on November 1, 1956, noting that the last two decades have marked a new phase of development that has propelled Madhya Pradesh among India’s leading states. “It is a pleasant coincidence that this year’s Rajyotsav is being celebrated on the auspicious occasion of Dev Uthani Gyaras. Our festivals and traditions are the foundation of our culture, and through these celebrations, we build the spirit of a bright future,” he wrote.
State Rich in Heritage, Natural Beauty, and Spiritual Legacy
Dr. Yadav expressed pride in the state’s rich cultural and spiritual identity, describing Madhya Pradesh as the “heart of India,” blessed with forests, rivers, minerals, arts, and traditions. He noted that the state is home to sacred rivers such as Narmada, Chambal, Parvati, and Shipra, and holds the blessings of Lord Mahakal.
“This is the land of Lord Parshuram’s birth, Lord Krishna’s education, and Adi Shankaracharya’s penance,” he said. “It is also the place where Lord Rama spent significant time in Chitrakoot. From King Vikramaditya to Raja Nala and Bharthari, this land has given India great rulers, scholars, and visionaries.”
Industrial Growth and Investment Momentum
Highlighting the ongoing economic transformation, Dr. Yadav said that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, India is on its way to becoming the world’s third-largest economy, and Madhya Pradesh is actively contributing to that vision.
“This year, the state’s Rajyotsav theme—‘Industry and Employment’—reflects our commitment to sustainable growth, cultural prosperity, and public participation,” the Chief Minister stated.
He noted that 2025 is being celebrated as the Year of Industry in Madhya Pradesh, with new initiatives like the Regional Investors Summit and investment drives reaching cities such as Ujjain, Jabalpur, Gwalior, Rewa, Sagar, Shahdol, Narmadapuram, and major global business hubs like Mumbai, Bengaluru, Delhi, the UK, Germany, Japan, and Dubai.
“Through these efforts, investment in Madhya Pradesh has increased manifold. We have provided a conducive, simple, and safe environment for investors while promoting innovation through startup policies, incubation hubs, and funding support,” Dr. Yadav said.
Focus on Employment, Innovation, and Inclusive Growth
The Chief Minister shared that the state has achieved several milestones in industrial investment, agriculture, renewable energy, and social empowerment over the past two years. He underlined that employment generation remains a top priority, with both government and private sectors creating sustainable job opportunities for youth.
“Madhya Pradesh is the first state in India to issue a government recruitment calendar, and the hiring process has already begun,” he noted.
Under the GYAN initiative—which stands for Garib (Poor), Yuva (Youth), Annadata (Farmer), and Nari (Women)—the government is implementing targeted programs to ensure inclusive development. The Madhya Pradesh Skill Development Mission and Startup Policy 2025 aim to transform youth from job seekers into job creators, he added.
From Heritage to Development
Concluding his message, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said, “Madhya Pradesh is moving ahead with pride, embracing its glorious history and natural beauty while stepping confidently toward a prosperous future. Together, we are shaping a self-reliant and developed Madhya Pradesh that contributes to Prime Minister Modi’s vision of a Viksit Bharat.”
