The government of Madhya Pradesh has recently transferred as many as nine Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers, including the Chief Electoral Officer, taking the transferee tally to 45 in August 2024.
The fresh IAS transferees are:
Mr. Anupam Rajan (1993 batch), last posted as the state Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) — who presided over the 2023 assembly polls and 2024 Lok Sabha election, has been reinstated as the Principal Secretary in the Department for Higher Education.
Mr. Sukh Veer Singh (1997 batch), last posted as the Principal Secretary in the Horticulture department, has been mandated to take charge as the new state CEO.
Mr. Amit Rathore (1996 batch), the incumbent Principal Secretary in the Department of Commercial Taxes, has been given additional charge of finance.
Mr. Ravindra Singh (2004 batch), last posted as Commissioner-cum-director in the Department of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection, has been replaced by IAS Sibi Chakravarthy.
Mr. Shriman Shukla (2007 batch) became the Commissioner of the Shahdol division. Mr. Rishi Garg became the Member Secretary of the State Planning Commission.
Mr. S Krishna Chaitanya (2013 batch) became the new MD of the Bhopal Metro Rail Corporation, while Mr. Avi Prasad (2014 batch) became the CEO of the Employment Guarantee Council.
