JODHPUR/BHOPAL: In a bid to strengthen regional industrial ties and attract fresh investment, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav met with entrepreneurs from the furniture, timber, and hotel industries in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, on Wednesday. During the interaction, the Chief Minister extended a cordial invitation to Rajasthan’s business community to explore new opportunities and set up industries in Madhya Pradesh, assuring them of full support under the state’s newly announced industrial policies.
MP’s Unique Forest Wealth a Key Advantage
Chief Minister Yadav emphasized the state’s rich forest resources, especially its extensive teak reserves, as a competitive advantage for furniture and timber-related businesses. “There is no teak forest like Madhya Pradesh anywhere else in the country,” he said, proposing a collaborative approach between Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh in promoting and expanding the furniture business.
18 New Industrial Policies Introduced
Referring to the Global Investors Summit held in Bhopal in February 2025, Dr. Yadav informed the attendees that 18 new industrial policies have been implemented to attract investment. “Entrepreneurs from across the country can benefit from the incentive provisions we have introduced. These policies are designed to promote ease of doing business, provide land at concessional rates, and foster sector-specific development,” he said.

Growth in Medical Education and Allied Sectors
Highlighting Madhya Pradesh’s rapid growth in medical education, Dr. Yadav shared that the state, which once had just five medical colleges, now boasts 36, with a goal of reaching 50 medical colleges within two years. “We are offering land and other support to private institutions to open medical colleges, thereby boosting both healthcare and educational infrastructure,” he added.
Entrepreneurs Encouraged to Establish Industries in MP
The Chief Minister invited industrialists to establish manufacturing units, hotels, and healthcare facilities in Madhya Pradesh. “We will provide full assistance through various state initiatives and schemes. Our goal is to ensure that doing business in Madhya Pradesh is both profitable and seamless,” he said.
Dr. Yadav also spoke about several roadshows and industry conclaves organized across major cities in 2025, aimed at promoting Madhya Pradesh as a premier destination for domestic and foreign investment.
