Gadarwara, Narsinghpur: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav addressed a public meeting in Gadarwara following the inauguration and ground-breaking of over 135 construction and development projects worth more than Rs 80 crore. The event marked a significant milestone in the region’s progress under the state government’s development and trust-driven approach.
Encouraging Agriculture-Based Industries and Farmer Welfare
Dr. Yadav emphasized the government’s focus on promoting agriculture-based industries. He announced that farmers who set up such industries would be eligible for a subsidy of up to 50 percent. Additionally, employment-oriented factories linked to agriculture would be established, where workers will receive a monthly wage of Rs 5,000.
Highlighting efforts to improve rural infrastructure, he also promised the construction of a cowshed in Gadarwara and easy transport services for the people.
Saluting Prime Minister Modi’s Leadership and National Achievements
The Chief Minister praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 11 years of governance, noting the country’s rise on the global stage. He cited key national milestones, including the passing and smooth implementation of the triple talaq law, the abrogation of Article 370, the country’s united response to the Pahalgam incident, and the consecration of Lord Shri Ram in Ayodhya. These, he said, symbolize a renewed respect for Sanatan culture and a focus on empowering the poor, youth, farmers, and women.
Education and Women Empowerment at the Forefront
In a heartfelt gesture, Dr. Yadav welcomed newly admitted students by applying tilak and distributing books. He stressed the importance of quality education to help children understand the country’s democracy, civilization, and culture and to inspire them towards a bright future.
Regarding women’s welfare, he announced plans to increase the Ladli Behna financial support to Rs 3,000 over five years. He noted that the scheme has transformed Rakshabandhan from an annual event into a monthly celebration for sisters. Further, post-delimitation, 33 percent reservation for women will be ensured in Lok Sabha and Assembly elections.
Comprehensive Infrastructure Developments Announced
Dr. Yadav inaugurated 67 projects worth Rs 56.58 crore and performed the Bhoomi Pujan for 68 projects worth Rs 23.88 crore remotely, covering sectors such as:
- Solar power connections to ease farmers’ electricity issues
- Construction of a 132 KV electric substation in Saikheda
Road projects–
- 20 km road from Chichli to Salichauka (Rs 60 crore)
- 17.5 km road from Arjungaon to Gadarwara (Rs 27 crore)
- Promotion of local craftsmanship in bronze and brass work near Chichli
- Cultural festivities planned for Guru Purnima, Krishna Janmashtami, and Dussehra, including worship of arms
He also highlighted rapid progress in water conservation projects, including the Jal Ganga Samvardhan Abhiyan and River Link Project.
Honors for Academic Excellence and Support from Leaders
The Chief Minister felicitated students listed in the state merit list for classes 10th and 12th and teachers excelling in academics with statues commemorating their achievements.
School Education and Transport Minister Uday Pratap Singh lauded Dr. Yadav for gifting Rs 350 crore to Gadarwara in just 18 months and acknowledged the beautification of the Gadarwara pond at a cost of Rs 2 crore.

Other dignitaries present included MP Chaudhary Darshan Singh, Rajya Sabha MP Maya Narolia, MLA Vishwanath Singh Patel, Sohagpur MLA Vijay Pal Singh, and former Rajya Sabha MP Kailash Soni. The Chief Minister and guests also visited an exhibition organized by the Education Department and engaged with students.
