Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav described the Union Budget 2026 as a “budget for the welfare of all sections of society” and emphasized that the Central Budget and Madhya Pradesh Budget will work in harmony to drive the state’s development goals.
CM Highlights Key Features of Central Budget
Speaking to reporters at Kushabhau Thakre Convention Hall in Bhopal, CM Yadav highlighted the far-reaching impact of the Union Budget. He said the budget aligns with the state’s development objectives and will create opportunities for growth across multiple sectors.
“The provisions made in the budget, especially for metropolitan cities, will directly benefit Madhya Pradesh,” CM Yadav said, noting that the state is already working toward developing metropolitan cities, and the Central Budget’s support will accelerate these efforts.

He drew a contrast with Pakistan, noting that Pakistan’s Prime Minister admitted to needing loans from countries worldwide, while India demonstrates economic strength and stability.

Chief Minister Yadav said the budget, presented by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman under PM Narendra Modi’s leadership, gives special focus to farmers, youth, women, and the poor. He emphasized that the provisions will improve the conditions of these sections, providing social and economic support through targeted schemes.
Boost to Textile Industry and Employment
CM Yadav highlighted that the textile industry received special attention in the Union Budget. He stated that this will benefit Madhya Pradesh by increasing production and generating new employment opportunities, giving a significant push to the state’s economy.
Unemployment Rate Shows Improvement
The Chief Minister claimed that unemployment in Madhya Pradesh has been steadily declining, reaching approximately 1.5%, reflecting the state government’s focus on job creation and economic growth.
