Bhopal: In a significant move ahead of Rakshabandhan, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav announced that the beneficiaries of the Ladli Behna Yojana will receive ₹1500 as a Rakhi “Shagun” this year. More importantly, the monthly assistance under the scheme—currently set at ₹1250—will be increased to ₹1500 after Diwali.
This decision is expected to benefit over 1.31 crore women across the state and is seen as a key step in strengthening the state’s commitment to women empowerment and financial inclusion.
₹250 Extra as Rakhi Gift in August Installment
According to government sources, the 27th installment of the Ladli Behna Yojana will be credited between August 1 and August 7—well before Rakshabandhan. This month’s transfer will include the standard ₹1250 installment, plus ₹250 as a Rakshabandhan bonus, totaling ₹1500 for each sister.
CM Yadav assured that “every Ladli sister will receive this amount directly in her bank account as a token of love and empowerment from the government.”
Post-Diwali Raise: From ₹1250 to ₹1500 Monthly
The Chief Minister confirmed that from November 2025, the monthly support amount under the scheme will be permanently revised to ₹1500. He said, “This scheme is more than financial aid—it is a movement toward dignity, self-reliance, and economic strength for our sisters.”
Yadav further added that the government is exploring options to raise the amount even further in the future.
