Odisha Governor Visits NALCO, Applauds Its Contribution to State’s Industrial & Economic Growth

Bhubaneswar: The Governor of Odisha, Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati, visited the Corporate Office of National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO) in Bhubaneswar today, where he lauded the company’s pivotal role in shaping Odisha’s industrial landscape and contributing meaningfully to the state’s economic development.

Symbolic Green Commitment: Sapling Planted Under ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’

As part of the visit, the Governor participated in a sapling plantation drive under the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ initiative, symbolizing environmental consciousness and maternal tribute. This initiative underscores the importance of sustainable growth through individual contributions to afforestation.

Only CPSE Headquartered in Odisha

Dr. Kambhampati commended NALCO for being the only Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE) headquartered in Odisha, recognizing its leadership in the aluminium sector and its importance in boosting regional development, employment, and infrastructure.

Interaction with Leadership and Review of Initiatives

NALCO’s Chairman-cum-Managing Director Brijendra Pratap Singh, along with company directors and senior officials, welcomed the Governor and briefed him on the company’s strategic roadmap, sustainability initiatives, CSR activities, and operational achievements.

The Governor appreciated NALCO’s contributions to the national vision of Viksit Bharat, particularly in fostering self-reliance, green growth, and inclusive industrialization.
