In a significant reshuffle, the Forest Department of Madhya Pradesh has transferred 38 Indian Forest Service (IFS) officers, including Divisional Forest Officers (DFOs) from 16 districts. The changes were implemented on Friday, affecting key positions in the state’s forestry management.
Notably, Bhopal’s DFO Alok Pathak has been replaced by Prakash Bharti, who will now oversee the division. This transition is part of a broader strategy to enhance forest governance and improve environmental management across the state.
The districts impacted by these transfers include Khargone, Ujjain, Betul, Seoni, Sidhi, Ashok Nagar, Satna, Balaghat, Damoh, Shajapur, Panna, Bhind, Morena, Rewa, and Raisen, in addition to Bhopal. This move is expected to bring fresh perspectives and renewed focus to the conservation efforts in these regions.
