In a significant administrative reshuffle, the Madhya Pradesh government has transferred six IAS officers, including three senior officials. The General Administration Department issued the transfer orders on Wednesday, marking a strategic move to enhance governance across various districts.
According to the issued order, IAS Lokesh Kumar Jangid, the collector of Sheopur district, has been removed from his position. The 2014-batch IAS officer has now been appointed as the collector of Niwari district.
In turn, 2014 batch IAS officer Arun Kumar Vishwakarma, who previously served as the collector of Niwari, has been appointed as Additional Director in the State Agricultural Marketing Board.
Additionally, IAS Kishore Kumar Kanyal, a 2013-batch officer, has been designated as the new collector of Sheopur. Prior to this appointment, he was serving as Deputy Secretary in the Forest Department.
The reshuffle also includes the posting of IAS officers awaiting assignments. Notably, IAS Kartikeya Jaiswal, from the 2022 batch, has been appointed as Assistant Collector in Balaghat after serving as Under Secretary in the Panchayat and Rural Development Department. Meanwhile, IAS Soumya Anand has been assigned the role of Assistant Collector in Shahdol.
This administrative surgery is part of the government’s ongoing efforts to optimize bureaucratic efficiency and ensure effective governance in the state.
