A bribe offering of Rs. 50,000 to IAS officer Tapasya Parihar landed a government school teacher in police lockup
A government teacher of Kupi Primary School in Madhya Pradesh’s Chhattarpur, was arrested for allegedly offering a bribe of Rs. 50,000 to an IAS officer. The officer is CEO of the district panchayat, Mr. Tapasya Parihar.
The teacher went to the officer’s office with a request to withdraw his suspension and then offered bribe. The officer immediately informed the police.
IAS Tapasya Parihar explained that the teacher had been suspended from the school because he was not present during the election training programmes which were held last year. The said teacher was arrested by the police under the Prevention of Corruption Act. Later, he was released on bail.
