Shajapur: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav inaugurated multiple industrial and developmental projects in the Shajapur district, emphasizing Madhya Pradesh’s march toward green energy, industrial growth, and social welfare. Speaking at the Maksi Industrial Area, Dr. Yadav highlighted the state’s commitment to economic development, employment generation, and sustainable energy solutions.
Green Energy Hub in Ujjain-Shajapur Region
Dr. Yadav announced that the fertile lands of Ujjain and Shajapur will become a center for the production of green energy equipment. He stated that Maksi town will evolve as a Central India Green Manufacturing Hub, providing local farmers with facilities for processing, packaging, and storage within their own region. The CM emphasized that this initiative will position the Malwa region, known for its rich culture and fertile land, as a leading center for green energy production.

Inauguration of Major Industrial Units
During the ceremony, Dr. Yadav performed the groundbreaking and inauguration of six industrial units in Maksi, with a total investment of ₹8,174 crore. This included the foundation laying of four units and the inauguration of two units. Additionally, he laid the foundation for a 38.95 km four-lane road from Ujjain to Maksi, costing over ₹384 crore.
These industrial units are expected to generate employment for more than 15,000 people, both directly and indirectly, strengthening the region’s industrial ecosystem.
Comprehensive Development Initiatives
The CM inaugurated 20 developmental projects worth ₹487.36 crore in Shajapur, including new buildings, roads, and irrigation projects. Key initiatives include:
- New building for Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Sandeepani School
- Approval for Lakhunder Irrigation Project
- Upgradation of Bercha-Jhokra-Maksi Road
- Construction of a high-level bridge on Lakhunder River
Dr. Yadav highlighted that these projects will benefit over 60,000 farmers in the district through relief funds totaling ₹39.5 crore.
Women and Farmer Welfare Programs
The CM reaffirmed the government’s commitment to women’s economic empowerment, noting that under the Laadli Bahna scheme, working women in employment-driven industries will receive ₹5,000 monthly incentives in addition to the ₹1,500 monthly assistance. He also emphasized efforts to increase farmers’ income, including raising milk production by 20% and providing ₹40 per cow as subsidy for livestock owners.

Education, Health, and Infrastructure Boost
Dr. Yadav announced several key initiatives:
- Establishment of Ayurvedic College in Shujalpur and Medical College in Shajapur
- Skill development labs in Maksi
- Multiple civic development works under the local municipal bodies
- Directory of 995 religious sites in Shajapur released
He also honored local athletes and distributed mobility aids to persons with disabilities during the event.
Maksi-Ujjain-Shajapur: Emerging Industrial Corridor
Highlighting the region’s industrial potential, Dr. Yadav stated that the Ujjain-Devas-Shajapur corridor is emerging as a hub for green energy, MSME industries, food processing, and manufacturing. The 88-hectare Maksi industrial zone alone hosts 60 active units, providing employment to 9,000 people, while the MSME park in Bhadoni-Bamaniakhedi-Kherkhedi area involves a ₹2,500 crore investment, creating 4,000 new jobs.
Commitment to Prosperity and Governance
The Chief Minister emphasized that Madhya Pradesh is advancing on the path of peace, harmony, good governance, and industrialization. He reiterated the state government’s efforts under the double-engine governance model to achieve sustained economic growth, employment generation, and social welfare, ensuring that development reaches all citizens, including tribal communities.
