Bhopal: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has announced a landmark initiative to connect every village in Madhya Pradesh to nearby towns and cities, aiming to boost rural development and improve quality of life. The move is part of the Sugam Samparkta (Easy Connectivity) Project, which will leverage modern technology to construct durable roads across rural areas.
Over 7,000 Roads to Connect Villages, Hamlets, and Sandipani Schools
The project targets 7,135 roads in areas with populations over 100, including villages, hamlets, and Sandipani schools. Each district panchayat can approve projects worth up to ₹3 crore. Roads will be built under the VB-G-RAM-G scheme, ensuring quality construction and long-lasting connectivity.
- Budget: Approx. ₹1,000 crore
- Coverage: Villages and hamlets with 100+ population
- Technology: Drones for monitoring and SIPRI software for road and bridge condition assessment
Modern Technology to Ensure Quality and Transparency
To maintain high standards, the project will use advanced technology:
- Drone Surveillance: Real-time monitoring of construction
- SIPRI Software: Tracks road conditions, including bridges and culverts, beyond DPR preparation
- Geo-Inventory: Prevents duplication, includes national and state highways, PMGSY roads, and main district roads
As of now, out of 33,655 identified roads, 17,437 roads have completed geo-inventory. Nine districts, including Ratlam, Jabalpur, Agar-Malwa, Mandsaur, and Panna, have completed over 80% of surveys.
