Bhopal: In a major move aimed at strengthening law and order across Madhya Pradesh and ensuring preparedness for the Simhastha-2028, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has announced that 22,500 police personnel will be recruited over the next three years. The decision is part of a broader plan to modernize the state’s security infrastructure and accelerate recruitment in the police department.
Youth Enthusiastic Over CM’s Announcement
The announcement has sparked enthusiasm among job-seeking youth across the state, with many expressing gratitude to the Chief Minister for opening up employment opportunities in the police force.
According to the plan, 7,500 police vacancies will be filled each year, starting from 2025. The initiative will significantly enhance police presence and preparedness for upcoming events, particularly the Simhastha Mela scheduled in 2028.
Dedicated Police Recruitment Board to Be Formed
To expedite and streamline the recruitment process, the Chief Minister also declared the establishment of a dedicated Madhya Pradesh Police Recruitment Board. This new board will take over recruitment responsibilities from the Staff Selection Board starting in 2026.
For the upcoming recruitment in 2025, however, the Staff Selection Board will conduct examinations and hiring on behalf of the new board.
“A dedicated recruitment board will ensure transparency, efficiency, and speed in the hiring process,” Dr. Yadav stated.
Special Measures for Martyrs’ Families and Police Personnel
In a gesture of respect and support, the Chief Minister also announced reservation of one additional seat in all graduate-level courses for widows and children of martyrs from the Police, Jail, and Municipal Services.
Additionally, special allowances and risk allowances will be extended to DSPs and officers deployed on VVIP duty, acknowledging the high-risk nature of their assignments.
Joint Meeting to Speed Up Modernization of Home Department
To fast-track the modernization of the Home Department, the Chief Minister has called for a joint meeting between the Home and Finance Departments, aiming to resolve all pending issues related to recruitment and infrastructure.
Strengthening Public Safety and Police Morale
These sweeping reforms and support measures are expected to not only enhance operational efficiency within the police department but also boost the morale of police personnel across ranks. Strengthened law enforcement will ensure better public safety and community trust, especially during high-footfall events like Simhastha.
