New Delhi: NBCC (India) Limited, a Navratna Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE) under the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA), Government of India, has been recognised for its outstanding contribution to sustainable infrastructure development. The company bagged two prestigious honours at the 17th GRIHA Summit held at the India Habitat Centre, New Delhi.

NBCC received GRIHA 5-Star Ratings for its two iconic projects — Vanijya Bhawan and Kaushal Bhawan. The rating awards, presented in the form of shields, were conferred by Mr. Srinivas Katikithala, Secretary, Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, and received by Mr. K.P. Mahadevaswamy, Chairman and Managing Director, NBCC, during the ceremony. The company was also felicitated for its long-standing partnership with GRIHA, reaffirming its leadership in sustainable construction practices.

Recognition for Sustainable Leadership

Extending his congratulations to the GRIHA Council, Mr. Mahadevaswamy commended the organisation for its continued efforts to promote sustainability in India’s built environment. He highlighted that NBCC’s achievements reflect its strong commitment to green and energy-efficient infrastructure that aligns with the nation’s sustainable development goals.

NBCC’s collaboration with GRIHA is showcased through several of its hallmark projects, including the redevelopment of East Kidwai Nagar, New Delhi, the AIIMS campuses at Nagpur and Kalyani executed through its subsidiary HSCC, and the Vigyan Bhawan Annexe Extension, New Delhi, which also holds a GRIHA 5-Star Rating. Another landmark project, the Integrated Exhibition-cum-Convention Centre (IECC) – Bharat Mandapam, which hosted the G20 Summit 2023, has been conferred a GRIHA 4-Star Rating for its exemplary sustainable infrastructure.
