New Delhi: NBCC (India) Limited marked the 79th Independence Day with a vibrant celebration at the World Trade Center, New Delhi, reflecting deep patriotic fervour and a renewed commitment to national development. As part of the Government of India’s Har Ghar Tiranga campaign, the PSU also distributed more than 21,500 national flags across its offices and project sites in India and abroad.
High-Profile Celebration at WTC, New Delhi
The Independence Day ceremony was graced by Srinivas Katikithala, IAS, Secretary, Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA), who served as the Chief Guest. He unfurled the National Flag in the presence of:
- K.P. Mahadevaswamy, Chairman & Managing Director, NBCC
- Ravi Kumar Arora, IAS, Joint Secretary (Land & Estates), MoHUA
- NBCC Functional Directors, CVO, and
- A large gathering of employees and Shramjeevis
A plantation drive was also held at the venue, along with the distribution of sweets, Tricolours, caps, and T-shirts to commemorate the occasion.
Har Ghar Tiranga: Tricolour Reaches Worksites Across the Nation
Demonstrating its full support to the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign, NBCC distributed over 21,500 Tricolours to employees, labourers (Shramjeevis), and team members across its project sites in India and abroad, including those of its subsidiaries:
- Hindustan Steelworks Construction Limited (HSCL)
- Hospital Services Consultancy Corporation (HSCC)
- NBCC Services Ltd (NSL)
This large-scale outreach reinforces NBCC’s vision of fostering unity and pride across every level of its organisation.
Acknowledging the Shramjeevis: Backbone of Nation-Building

Chief Guest Katikithala interacted with and felicitated Shramjeevis, acknowledging their indispensable contribution to NBCC’s achievements in construction, redevelopment, and infrastructure development.
He commended NBCC for its exemplary execution of housing and infrastructure projects across the country, which continue to play a critical role in realising the national vision of Viksit Bharat (Developed India).
