New Appointment in Department of Atomic Energy, IAS Nitin Bhanudas Jawale Made Director in Mumbai

IAS officer Nitin Bhanudas Jawale, a 2003 batch officer from the Odisha cadre, has been appointed as the Director in the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) in Mumbai. This appointment was confirmed in an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT).

According to the order, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved Mr. Jawale’s appointment under the central staffing scheme. He will serve in this position for a tenure up to June 30, 2028, which is the maximum admissible duration of seven years away from his cadre. Notably, this appointment comes with a waiver of the mandatory cooling-off period.

Mr. Jawale’s new role involves overseeing key operations and strategic initiatives within the Department of Atomic Energy, a critical sector responsible for advancing India’s nuclear energy and research capabilities.
