NFL, a state-owned entity, has expressed interest in participating in a new joint venture company aimed at establishing a urea plant in Assam. This initiative, announced recently, involves setting up an ammonia-urea complex named Namrup IV Fertiliser Plant at Namrup, Assam, with an annual capacity of 12.7 lakh tonnes. According to the NFL’s regulatory filing, its board has agreed to contribute 18% equity to this proposed venture under the Department of Fertilisers’ plan.
