New Delhi: Mr Santosh Kumar, Indian Forest Service (IFS) officer of the 1993 batch from the AGMUT cadre, has been granted an extension as the Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) of National Hydro Power Corporation Ltd (NHPC). The competent authority has approved his deputation tenure extension for six months beyond December 6, 2025, up to June 6, 2026, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Experienced Indian Forest Officer with Strong Engineering Background
IFS Kumar is an Indian Forest Officer from the AGMUT cadre (Arunachal Pradesh-Goa-Mizoram and Union Territories), 1993 batch. He holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kanpur (1988-1992), and a Master of Technology (M.Tech) in Thermal Engineering from Banaras Hindu University-IIT (IIT-BHU), completed in 1994.
