IRS officer Nitin Jain has been appointed as Director in the Ministry of Steel. He is a Custom & IT officer of 2011 batch. His new role will take effect from January 1, 2025, or the day he takes charge, whichever is later. He will serve in this position until March 15, 2026, completing a five-year term, including his previous deputation roles. Shri Jain’s central deputation began on March 16, 2021.
