NMDC expressed optimism about achieving 45 million tonnes of production in FY25 following the resumption of work. Shares of NMDC rose by 1.47%, closing at Rs. 67.49 per share on BSE on Friday.
The Federation of the Unions had directed its members to return to work fully from March 20, following a “willful” slowdown and work-to-rule that began on March 6. The protest had come amid ongoing wage revision negotiations.
NMDC clarified that an agreement had already been reached between the unions and the management concerning wage settlement, and the matter was referred to the Ministry of Steel for final confirmation.
