NTPC Green Energy Adds 50.7 MW Solar-Wind Capacity in Gujarat, Total Capacity Tops 10,126 MW

Hybrid Projects Boost NTPC Green Energy’s Renewable Portfolio, Strengthening India’s Clean Energy Growth and Sustainability Goals

New Delhi: NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL) has announced the commercial operation of new solar and wind capacities in Gujarat, further expanding its renewable energy portfolio. The addition includes 37.5 MW solar capacity and 13.2 MW wind capacity under hybrid projects, boosting the total installed capacity of the NTPC Green Energy Group to 10,126.40 MW.

The projects were developed through Ayana Renewable Power Four Private Limited, a step-down subsidiary of ONGC NTPC Green Private Limited, and became operational effective April 2, 2026.

Expansion of Hybrid Renewable Energy Projects

The newly commissioned capacities form part of larger projects in Gujarat:

  • Solar: 37.5 MW, part of a 150 MW solar project
  • Wind: 13.2 MW, part of a 100 MW hybrid project combining 92.4 MW wind and 37.5 MW solar

These hybrid projects integrate solar and wind energy generation, optimizing energy output and supporting regional renewable energy development.

With the addition of these capacities, the NTPC Green Energy Group’s commercial capacity has increased from 10,075.70 MW to 10,126.40 MW. This milestone underscores the company’s commitment to:

  • Supporting nationwide renewable energy targets

The projects contribute to the diversification of renewable energy sources in Gujarat and demonstrate NGEL’s focus on integrating solar and wind power in hybrid formats for maximum efficiency.

The commissioning of these projects highlights NTPC Green Energy’s strategic approach to renewable energy growth, balancing solar and wind generation to ensure a stable and reliable energy supply.
