New Delhi: Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL) participated in the Regional Nuclear Communications Forum hosted by the World Association of Nuclear Operators (WANO) Moscow Centre, highlighting India’s expertise in nuclear communication and stakeholder engagement.
India’s Experience in Stakeholder Engagement Highlighted
Representing NPCIL, Mr. Umed Yadav, Head of Corporate Communications, delivered a virtual presentation titled “Bridging Perspectives: Communicating Nuclear Across Diverse Stakeholder Landscapes.” He shared India’s experience in engaging multiple stakeholders in the nuclear sector, focusing on strategies, tools, and techniques that ensure effective communication and transparency.
His presentation emphasized the importance of bridging communication gaps, enhancing public understanding, and fostering trust in nuclear energy initiatives. It provided insights into how NPCIL addresses diverse audiences, ranging from local communities to policy-makers and regulatory authorities.
Global Knowledge Exchange at WANO Forum
The forum offered a platform for nuclear communication experts and managers from around the world to exchange best practices and innovative approaches. As the leader of WANO’s Communications Industry Working Group, Mr. Yadav contributed to the knowledge-sharing initiatives spearheaded by the WANO London Office, benefiting the members of the Moscow Centre.
His participation reinforced NPCIL’s commitment to international collaboration, enhancing global nuclear communication standards and sharing India’s lessons in stakeholder engagement and public communication strategies.
