New Delhi: NTPC has announced that a 25 MW solar capacity of its group company, NTPC Green Energy Limited, will become commercially operational from September 3, 2025. This milestone increases the NTPC Group’s total installed and commercial capacity to 83,366 MW, reinforcing its leadership in India’s power sector.
Expanding Renewable Energy Footprint
The 25 MW solar project is a part of NTPC’s broader commitment to sustainable energy and renewable expansion. This initiative aligns with India’s renewable energy targets and NTPC’s vision of diversifying its energy portfolio.
The commercial operation date (COD) was formally declared in an official filing, marking the start of full-scale generation and integration into India’s power grid.
