New Delhi: NTPC Green Energy Limited has announced the commercial operation of the second phase of its 250 MW Ayana Kadapa Solar PV Project in Andhra Pradesh, adding 91.6 MW to its renewable energy portfolio. This milestone increases the Group’s total installed capacity to 9,292.68 MW, reinforcing its commitment to India’s sustainable energy goals.
Second Phase of Ayana Kadapa Solar Project Operational
The 91.6 MW capacity segment is part of the 250 MW Ayana Kadapa Solar PV Project, developed under Ayana Kadapa Renewable Power Private Limited, a subsidiary of Ayana Renewable Power Pvt. Ltd., which is wholly owned by the joint venture ONGC NTPC Green Private Limited. The commercial operation date (COD) for this phase is effective from 27 February 2026, as certified by the Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI) on 9 March 2026.
Incremental Capacity Boost and Total Group Footprint
Earlier, the first phase of the project with 158.4 MW capacity was declared commercially operational on 20 February 2026. With this second phase, NTPC Green Energy’s group-wide capacity has increased from 9,201.08 MW to 9,292.68 MW, marking a significant step in its renewable energy expansion.
