Osaka, Japan: NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of India’s leading power utility NTPC Limited, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with ENEOS Corporation, a major Japanese energy company, to explore a strategic partnership in the field of green hydrogen and its derivative products.
The MoU was exchanged during the prestigious World Expo 2025 being held in Osaka, Japan, marking a key milestone in international collaboration for clean energy solutions. The agreement is aimed at establishing the framework for a potential definitive deal under which NGEL would supply Green Methanol and other Green Hydrogen derivative products to ENEOS.
Anchored in NGEL’s Green Hydrogen Hub at Pudimadaka
At the heart of this MoU lies NGEL’s ambitious Green Hydrogen Hub project located at Pudimadaka in Andhra Pradesh. Spanning over 1,200 acres, the Pudimadaka facility is being developed as an integrated production and export hub for green chemicals such as green ammonia, green methanol, and other hydrogen-based derivatives. This project is a key component of NTPC’s roadmap toward accelerating the green energy transition in India.
